Terms of Service

Your rights and obligations when using TUTORERA®.

1. Introduction

Welcome to TUTORERA® ("Platform"), a marketplace accessible via tutorera.mentisera.ac.pk, connecting students and parents ("Students") with independent tutors ("Tutors"). These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using TUTORERA®, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. The TUTORERA® Marketplace

TUTORERA® provides a platform for Students to post requests for tutoring services ("Tuition Requests"). Tutors may then submit bids or offers to fulfill these requests. TUTORERA® is a neutral facilitator and does not employ the Tutors. The tutoring services are provided by independent Tutors, and a contract for tutoring is formed directly between the Student and the Tutor.

3. User Obligations

Students: You agree to provide accurate information in your Tuition Requests and to pay the agreed-upon fees for any sessions you book.

Tutors: You agree to provide accurate information regarding your qualifications and experience. You commit to delivering high-quality tutoring services and to communicate professionally with Students.

4. Platform Integrity and User Conduct

To ensure the safety, security, and quality of all interactions on the Platform, you explicitly agree to the following conditions, which are based on our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):

  • Communication Isolation Rule (CIR): All communication and interaction between Students and Tutors related to tutoring services booked via the Platform must occur exclusively within the TUTORERA® platform. You are strictly prohibited from sharing or soliciting personal contact information, including but not limited to phone numbers, email addresses, and social media handles.
  • Consent to Monitoring and Recording: You acknowledge and agree that all teaching sessions may be monitored (live or reviewed later) and recorded by TUTORERA® administrators. This includes video, audio, chat, and screen sharing. These recordings and logs are used for quality assurance, safety, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our policies.
  • Disciplinary Action: You acknowledge that violation of these terms or our SOP may result in disciplinary action, up to and including warnings, temporary suspension, mandatory retraining, and permanent termination of your account, as detailed in our SOP.

5. Payments and Fees

Students pay for tutoring sessions through the Platform. TUTORERA® deducts a service fee ("Platform Fee") from the Tutor's earnings. All payment transactions are subject to our payment processor's terms. Tutors are responsible for their own taxes.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

TUTORERA® makes no warranties regarding the quality of tutoring services provided by Tutors. We conduct a verification process, but we are not responsible for the direct interactions between users. In no event shall TUTORERA® be liable for any damages arising out of the use of the platform or the services provided by Tutors.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
